VIRGINIA JAGUAR CLUB 2007 EVENT CALENDAR
January 27 11:00 AM Tech Session at Sportscar Workshop, Richmond. See how (and why) to install Electronic Ignition in your V-12 and other topics. Several E types will be in the bays for restoration or maintenance , plus an eclectic array of other sports cars. Lunch after.
February 24 Visit to 11:00 AM | "Classic Car Center", 3591 Lee Hill Drive, Fredericksburg (Garland's Gentry's new shop, previously Classic British Sports Cars and Collectibles). See Garlands spiffy 5,000 sq ft shop, and 50's style club room. Lunch in Old Town, probably at La Petite Auberge (French cooking and ambience, Southern prices and manners).
March 24 Jamestown Archeological site visit, for a guided tour to the parts tourists do not reach. Hosted by Dr Bill Massey. Meet at 11 am at the Massey Clinic, 322 Monticello Rd, W.burg. Guide fee $9, registration via RSVP to Dr Bill required, 15 mininum for the tour. Lunch at W.burg at exclusive golf clubhouse. See March Lyons Tales for details.
April 22 First VJC Rally, hosted by Ron Mitchell (757-867-7639 ron.mitchell@siemens.com), will start and end in the Williamsburg area. Coordinated with the Colonial Vintage British Car Club show at the Williamsburg Winery.
May 4-6 Mini-JONAT "Round the Bay" joint event with the CJC and NCJOC clubs. Long weekend trip to the Eastern Shore with Friday night at historic Wachapreague on the Eastern Shore and Annapolis on Saturday night. Sunset dinner on Saturday at the famous Hemingways restaurant at the Bay Bridge with the NCJOC folk. Fabulous Sunday brunch at "The Treaty of Paris" in Annapolis. Probably will start from Abacus Racing in Virginia Beach on Friday morning. Please contact David Harrison as we need a head count.
June 9-10 Joint event with CJC at Virginia International Raceway during Gold Cup Vintage Races and VIR 50 th anniversary celebration. Come for a day or stay overnight. Great vintage racing and its in our fair state..Sat evening BBQ with CJC planned. See March LT issue for details.
July 22 Annual Pool Party at Harrison Plantation, Chester.
August Possible Tech Session at Abacus Racing, Virginia Beach or open for suggestion.
